L ' Body Mass Index (BMI or BMI) is a parameter that allows you to calculate the body weight, defined as overweight , normal weight or underweight .

BMI = weight (kg) / height squared (meters squared)

For a weight of 50 kg and a height of 1.60 meters, the BMI is calculated as follows:
50 : (1.60 x 1.60) = 19,53

The overweight is a major social problem. It is not just a problem that can cause disorders in terms of aesthetics, but also health.
Overweight fact disturbs not only the quality of life, but especially life expectancy.
L ' obesity is, after smoke, the second leading cause of death in Western countries , and the first in nonsmokers.
